what is cdp in cisco router?

hello friends today I will tell you what is cdp?

A CDP is (Cisco discovery protocol) it is use to discover the information and getting the information about cisco devices which is connected to cisco router . you can enable or disable cdp protocols according to your security

                    

 

-  It sends it's cdp packet =30sec

-  hello timer -60 sec

-  hold time -180 sec

 

 

 

why default CDP is enable on cisco router
